Randy J. Schum has been performing calligraphy for over 40 years. In addition to taking numerous calligraphy classes and workshops, he was mentored by the American Master Penman and Calligrapher Walter J. Filling who frequently created calligraphy for the White House and United States Senate. Randy has mentored students, taught calligraphy workshops and specializes in engraver’s script and manuscript illumination.

He has created citations recognizing the contributions of diplomat and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Henry Kissinger, astronomer Dr. Carl Sagan and entertainers Neil Diamond and Elton John.

Randy is a past participating member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting, the Japan Penmanship Club, the Greater Rochester Penmanship Club and the Scribes of Central Florida.
